Ellie's 9 month doc appt

Ellie had her 9 month doctors appointment today! She weighed 17lbs 11oz and was 27 inches tall. Since her 6 month appointment, she gained 2lbs 3oz and 2 inches! She is in the 42% for weight and 26% for length. No more percentiles under 10%! She is growing nicely and is getting her top two teeth now (she has her bottom two teeth already). She is super happy and sleeps 11 hrs at night in her crib. She loves saying Keke, abba, gaga and wawa! 

Ellie's 6 month doc appt

Ellie had her 6 month doc appt today! Poor girl is getting over croup and a bad cough. She weighed 14lbs 8oz and was 25 inches tall. She gained 1lb 10oz and 1 inch since her last appointment! She is finally in the double digits percentile for weight (18%) and 13% for height. No teeth yet and is not interested in food yet! She sleeps like a champ (9:00pm-7:00am) and loves to babble! 

Ellie's 5 month doc appt

Ellie had her 5 month doc appt a week before her 5 month birthday because next week is thanksgiving! She weighs 12lbs 12oz and was 24 inches long. She gained 1lb 12oz and .5 inches since her last appointment 3.5 weeks ago! She's now in the 9th percentile and growing! She sleeps from 9-7 every night and rolled over yesterday!

Ellie's 4 month doc appt

Ellie has had some issues with a kidney infection which caused her to throw up for a week and a half straight. She wasn't as heavy as we hoped, but we know she will recover and keep growing! She was 11lbs and 23.5 inches. She gained 7.5oz since last month. 

Ellie 3 month doc appt

Finally our little Ellie belly is above 10 lbs! She had her 3 month doc appt today and she weighed 10 lbs 8 oz! She gained 2 lbs since last month! Little peanut is now in the 4th percentile! Her reflux is finally under control with meds.

Ellie's 2 month doc appointment

Ellie had her 2 month check up today! She weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 21 inches long. She gained 1lb 10oz and 1.25 inches since last month! She is still only 2% for weight and 3% for height, but she is a very healthy peanut!! Hopefully her acid reflux goes away soon and she can catch up on size! Poor babe has her first cold so we need to wait until next week to vaccinate her! 

Ellie's 1 month doc appointment

Ellie had her 1 month check up today! She weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 19.75 inches tall. She has gained 2lbs 4oz and 1.25 inches since her last appointment! She is still a peanut and is only 1% for weight and 2% for height! She's small but mighty!! 

Ellie pregnancy photos

Having a toddler, packing, moving and being pregnant make for a very hectic few months! We did the best we could with pregnancy photos and missed a few, but had fun when we remembered!!! Isla was the best part of the pictures! 

Welcome Ellie Dalia!

It's been quite a while since I have updated the blog. It's been a very busy year! We packed up and moved out of Chicago, moved to Arizona, got pregnant and had little miss Ellie Crane! She was born at 37 weeks exactly and is tiny and mighty! Ellie weighed 5lbs 2oz and was 18.75 inches long and was born at 3:25am. I was already 2-3cm dilated when I went into the hospital. I was induced at 8:00pm starting with pitocin and at 11:20pm my water broke. Only 3 pushes and at 3:25am Ellie was born! Isla is the best big sister and we are so happy!!

2 year doctors appointment

This post is almost a month late, but it's better late than never! Isla had her 2 year check up and she is amazing. She weighed 30.8 lbs and was 35.2 inches. She is in the 92% for weight and 91% for height. Since her 18 month appointment, she gained 5 lbs and 1.7 inches! She is an incredible talker and well beyond her toddler counterparts. She loves playing doctor and giving check-ups! 

18 month doctors appointment

We have been so busy and I just realized I forgot to post Isla's 18 month doc appt update! Yikes I am a month late! Anyway... Isla is a firecracker!! She is starting to get scared when we walk into the doctor because she knows it's not a fun time! She weighed 25 lbs 14 oz and was 33.5 inches tall. In the past 3 months she gained 7 oz and .5 inch. She was sick for a week prior to the appt and wasn't eating well so her weight was down. Now at 19 months she weighs 28.2 lbs! The doctor said she was very advanced verbally and is a gifted girl! She has so many words but her current favorite is "whoops" and "abba-dodo"! 

15 month doctors appointment

Isla had her 15 month doctors appointment today. She weighs 25 lbs 7 oz and is 33 inches tall. She is 99% for height and 94% for weight. She is super talkative and the doctor says she is very advanced! We have a little daredevil on our hands! 

We have a solo walker!

Isla is 13 months and 2 weeks old today and is walking on her own!! She finally has the confidence in herself and you can see how happy she is! We are so proud of her and love her so much! She waited until abba got home from work to show off!! 

Isla's first real ouch!

Today isla experienced her first real bump/cut/bruise. She has been exploring more and smacked her face right into the edge of the book ledge and I just couldn't catch her in time. I felt so awful and she was so upset! I guess for both of us it is a right of passage and we made it to 13 months with minor scratches! 

12.5 month doctors appt with new doctor

Today we had our first appointment with isla's new pediatrician. She is so sweet and smart and Isla really liked her! She weighes 24 lbs 2 oz and is 31.5 inches tall. She gained 15 ounces and 1 inch in just three weeks! She is 98% for height and 93% for weight! The doctor said Isla is very bright and we have our hands full (don't we know)!

12 months old

My little baby is one today!!! I just can't believe it. She has so much personality and such a sense of humor. She loves to eat anything we put in front of her and is so close to walking. She loves talking and her favorite words are ima, abba, keke, savta, Becca, cup, book and most recently NO! She is so determined and already such a spitfire! We couldn't possibly love her anymore than we do. Happy birthday my sweet sweet soul! 

52 weeks old

Isla is 52 weeks old today!! I cannot believe this is our last weekly photo! It has gotten so hard getting her to sit still, so I am kind of happy to be done! She is just an amazing baby!!! 

51 weeks old

Isla is 51 weeks old today! I can't believe my baby is going to be one next week! It is almost impossible to get her to stay still for even two seconds to take the weekly picture... I am almost excited to be done with them! 

12 month doctors appointment

Isla had her 12 month doctors appointment today. We had it a bit early because we wanted to make sure to get one last visit in with our awesome pediatrician before we move next week. She weighed in at 23 lbs 3 oz and 30.5 inches long. Since her 10 month visit (2 months ago) she gained 1 lb 3 oz and 1 inch! She will be off formula in a week and is looking very healthy and especially happy. She has 6 teeth and is currently getting 7 and 8! 

50 weeks old

Isla was 50 weeks old last Friday! We were in San Diego for my sister's wedding. Isla was the cutest flower baby ever and she had so much fun!! I can't believe she is almost 1! She loves to stand by herself and I wouldn't be surprised if she started walking very soon!
